Tiffany Tarver – 2003
Tiffany graduated from Alabama A&M University in December 2007 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, concentration in Computer Engineering. In addition to being an outstanding student, she was active in several scholastic and service organizations on campus and also mentors youth groups in her community.Tiffany interned for the past three summers at El Paso Corporation, one of North America’s largest independent natural gas producers, and became a full-time employee upon graduation. Mentored by mechanical and electrical engineers, she worked to improve the reliability and availability of the company’s vital mechanical and electrical systems. She attended automation and measurement training sessions to learn new software and system upgrade techniques, presented the new methodology to field technicians, and assisted with on-site upgrades.
Tiffany is additionally preparing to enroll at Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, which will enable her to fulfill her ultimate career goal of protecting technological advances through the practice of patent law.
